Remote working during summer.

You will work closely with the Design and Marketing Department and sabbatical officers to ensure incoming students are equipped with current and engaging content about the Students’ Association and University.

You’ll need to show flexibility, creativity and be comfortable and confident using current social media platforms. A knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and feel comfortable with a camera would also be advantageous but not essential for this role.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities of Post-holder

  1. Your primary role will be to run the "Class of" Instagram page. Managing access and organising Instagram takeovers as well as signposting incoming students to the Association’s social media and web platforms.
  2. You will work with the Marketing Department into create engaging informal content for incoming students on platforms such as TikTok.
  3. Your work will link into our website, the University’s Orientation App and printed material to ensure strong promotion of our key messages through different channels.
  4. You will liaise with student groups and representatives to ensure information we hold about them on our website are up-to-date and correct.
  5. During Freshers’ Week you may be asked to do some in-person work but this role will predominantly be online.

The Association

The University of St Andrews Students’ Association presently has over 11,000 members. We provide a range of services including advice and representation, a catering service on two sites and four bars. We are the primary entertainments venue for St Andrews’ students, and support a thriving student activities scene with over 140 affiliated societies.
