Representation

As you will all be aware elections have been and gone. We’re very happy to announce our new sabbatical team for next year (Association President, Lewis Wood; Director of Events & Services, Hannah Jacobs; Director of Student Development & Activities, Charlotte Flatley; Director of Wellbeing, Claire Shirey; Director of Education, Zachary Davis; Athletic Union President Tom Abbott) they will start their new positions on the 1st of July after an intensive handover from the outgoing sabbaticals.   Turn out for this years elections was 36.12% which means we still have the highest turn out for student elections in Scotland.

Societies and Activities

Student festival season has passed for another year. On The Rocks was a terrific success, we hope you all had a chance to experience some of it as its diverse programme brought something for everyone: students, staff and local people with 50 events including the likes of comedy, theatre, musicals, poetry and much more. Here's some photos from the festival.

We held our Society Awards on the 18th of April in The Stage. Many great achievements were recognised, with the society of the year being awarded to the Yoga Society. You can view some of the photos from the event here.

Honorary Life Memberships have now been announced.  With the ceremony taking place on Thursday 22nd June, if any would like to come please contact dosda@ for details.

Updates in and around the building

Bike Racks

As you will all be aware finishing touches for the redevelopment are still happeing.  We have just had new bike racks installed at the back of our building.  A member of staff from the universities Transition team will be helping us make sure they are used to their full capacity.

Board Dinner

Board Dinner was a great success again this year.  It is a great opportunity for us to thank you all aswell as students and staff members of the Association and University.  Year on year ties with the University grow stronger which in turn makes us stronger, expanding our remit and creating opportunites.  We are looking forward to next years dinner already!
