About the School President role
Salvete and Χαίρετε! My name is Ela, and I'm the returning School of Classics President. My job is to build the best community and learning environment for the Classics Department that I can.
I'm originally Turkish/American and am in my fourth year doing Classical Studies and IR. My classical research focuses mostly on Ancient Greek occult practices, but I'm also expanding into researching Amazon reception for my dissertation. On the rare occasions I'm not doing something classics related, I love playing the guitar, weightlifting (in my efforts to become the ideal Platonic warrior-philosopher), reading, and ice skating.
