The Shire of Caer Caledon is holding a medieval feast on the 4th February, with each dish from a different country, from recipes dated to the medieval period. It will be a festive evening of food, music and story-telling! Please bring your friends!
Imagine a candelit hall decorated with beautiful tapestries, a bard stands up to tell a story while you tuck in to delicious historical food... We hope to bring your imaginings to life!
The menu will start with bread and honey butter, followed by three main platters with palate cleansers in between, for a total of six courses. Bards from the Shire of Caer Caledon will tell stories and sing songs, as well as anyone from the audience who wishes to join in.
- Tickets are £15 for members, £18 for non-members. We may have tickets to sell at the door but booking tickets beforehand will guarantee you a space in case tickets run out.
- Arrive by 6pm, expect to leave by 10pm. You can arrive late/leave early if you have to, though you may miss some courses and performances.
- Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements, especially allergies.
- Please bring your own drinking vessel, plate, bowl and cutlery, as well as a box or something to carry leftovers, should you wish to take anything home with you.
- Historical clothing encouraged but not required.
- We are not allowed alcohol inside the building. Please bear this in mind.
The Shire of Caer Caleon is the University of St Andrews' medieval re-enactment society: the home of fighting, feasts, and fun.
