The Art History Society in St Andrews aims to promote the enjoyment of art through criticism and study.

Through our events, we aspire to bring the world of art into an intimate setting where it's possible to become truly immersed. We look to experience artistic cultures as close to first hand as we can, aiming to supplement your knowledge from the lecture theatre.

Our events include museum and gallery visits, guest lectures, pub quizzes, film screenings, careers events and Art History conferences. Our socials are designed to give students the opportunity to make connections with their peers. The Society has also introduced the Art History Mentorship Scheme in coalition with the School of Art History. In this programme students are assigned a mentor (or mentee) with whom they can discuss course matters and any other questions they may have.

We're a fun-loving, creative and artsy bunch of people! Studying Art History is not a requisite.

All are welcome!
