Your time is totally voluntary, and as a thank-you you’ll get:

Register your credits on the Volunteering Portal - which are recognised on your Higher Education Achievement Report when you graduate.

Remember arriving in St Andrews and not really knowing what you’re doing, where to go or even what events to go to?
We’d love to have some smiling students sign up to volunteer on the first Saturday and Sunday of Freshers’ Week. You’ll be located at the Union or one of our pop-up stalls to help with any general questions and tell students about the amazing work the Union does.
Shifts will be 2-3 hours and available from 9am – 5pm.

Our Freshers’ Fayre is epic. We host over 200 stalls throughout the building and it’s the ideal event for any new (and returning) students to talk to student groups and university departments directly and sign-up to give-it-a-go sessions.
With so much going on we need some keen volunteers to set-up tables, help put up posters, direct students where to go and be on hand to help when required. Or if you know all things Union you could even volunteer at it's stall!
Shifts will be available throughout the day of the Fayre.

Join the Box Office Team and help kick off the fun! As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside the Union’s Customer Safety Team to welcome students to some of the biggest events of the week.
You’ll help with checking tickets, handing out wristbands, and giving away freebies throughout the week.
Shifts are short and sweet – no longer than 90 minutes – and you’ll get a full briefing at the start.
