What do we do?
The Union Executive is the core leadership group responsible for making sure student voice and policy decisions are put into action. We act as the executive body of the regular all-student meeting, helping shape strategy, propose new ideas, and lead on key areas of student life.
Together, we:
- Oversee how policy from the all-student meeting and referenda gets implemented
- Propose new policies and big-picture changes for the SRC to debate
- Take the lead on democratic governance across the Union
- Work with and between the Forums to support collaboration and resolve disputes
- Represent student views at University-level committees and ensure your voice is heard
- Help shape the Union’s strategic direction and services
- Lead the charge on areas like education, wellbeing, opportunities, and postgrad representation
The Union Executive is made up of your four full-time officers and two part-time postgrad presidents (sometimes known collectively as 'Executive Officers' or the 'Exec Team'), and the three forum chairs. We're accountable to students, to the all-student meeting, and to the Students’ Association Board – and most importantly, we’re here to make things better for you.
We meet fortnightly, and you can always reach out if you’ve got something you want us to discuss.
Submit a Motion
If there's an issue you think the Union Executive should address or support, you can submit a motion.
Any officer of the Union may submit a motion to an agenda. See Exec Team Paper Template.
You can submit motions to [email protected]. The deadline for motions is 9:00 the Monday before the meeting.

Attendance
You must submit an absence to the Secretary of the group if you know you are unable to attend that particular meeting. Three unexcused absences will result in disciplinary action.
Deputes are acceptable with prior written permission from the Secretary.
