Activities Team

We support the many and diverse societies and activities of the Students' Association. Primarily, the Team manage the administration for nearly 200 societies throughout the academic year!

The Activities Team is here to help our societies flourish! We can help fund events or projects, give advice, and guide you through the affiliation process. Affliated societies are connected to the Students' Association through the committee, ensuring access to the support we give. This includes:

  • Managing affiliation and reaffiliation.
  • Organising society training.
  • Providing financial assistance through grants and loans, from Grant-It Ideas: Activities.
  • Supporting committee changes at Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs).
  • Promoting society events and activities.
  • Holding open office hours for all societies.
  • Providing advice and support.

VP Socs Cerys Deas

The VP Student Opportunities (Societies & Activities) chairs the Activities Team and oversees

the administration of all societies.

PresOpps Robert Moran The PresOpps supports students with activities and development outside of their studies.
Treasurer   The Activities Team Treasurer manages Grant-It: Activities, and provides advice to treasurers.
Publicity Events Lead   The Publicity and Events Lead manages the Team's social media and outreach.
Volunteering Co-Convenor   The Volunteering Convenors support student volunteers through the St Andrews Voluntary Service.
Charities Campaign Liaison Lucy Maitland-lewis

The Charities Campaigns Liaison coordinates and oversees the running

of the subcommittees within the Charities Campaign.

Performing Arts Societies Liaison Lucy Turner The Performing Arts Societies Liaison supports all performing arts, from music to drama and beyond!
General Member   General Members provide an external viewpoint to the committee and assist with projects as needed.
The Student Activities Co-ordinator, Archie Ronald, and the Student Engagement Interns assist the Team with our administration.

We have Office Hours scheduled for every week during term time! Please come along for advice regarding the running of your society:

  1. Grants and Treasury (with a Member of the Cash Office) 

  1. Health and Safety (with a Member of the Operations Team)
