Am I a member of The University of St Andrews Students' Association?

All students at University of St Andrews automatically become members of the Students' Association when they matriculate, except if they decide to opt out of membership. This applies no matter whether you're an undergraduate or postgraduate student, whether you're studying full-time or part-time, and even whether you're in St Andrews or not.

 

 

 

Can graduates come to the union?

All Alumni from University of St Andrews can access the Union without signing in but please make sure you've got ID with you.

 

 

 

Can I sign in friends?

Alumni, students and staff can sign in up to four people, the cost of this is £1 on a weekday and £2 on a weekend.  This is done at reception either in advance or at the time you require entry but please note if you are going to a busy event please check that sign ins are allowed and if they are please get there early.

Please note sign ins must be 18 years or over.

Can 17 year olds come to the union?

If you are a student at University of St Andrews but aren't yet 18, you are still permitted to enter the union. However, you are not allowed to purchase or consume alcohol. Under 18's from other universities and non-students are not permitted to enter the union at night unless it is a prearranged, ticketed event.

 

 

 

I have lost my jacket/phone/camera/ID/etc. What should I do?

Any lost property handed in or found by our staff is kept at reception for approximately 2 weeks. The same applies for unclaimed items in the cloakroom. After the 2 week period, valuables are handed to the local police and clothing is donated to charity. Please phone 01334 462700 or email union@st-andrews.ac.uk for more information.

 

 

 

When does the union open?

The main building is open:

Monday  9am - 1am

Tuesday - Friday - 9am - 2am

Saturday - 10am - 2am

Sunday - 10am - midnight
