Carers, Commuters, Mature, and Flexible Learners

The Carers, Commuters, Mature and Flexible Learners Network (CCMFL), is a subcommittee of the Students' Association, representing students with non-traditional learning pathways to and at university.

While we represent students with caring duties, commuting students, mature students and those on flexible degree pathways (such as part-time, evening, or distance learning), we understand that CCMFL students come from a wide range of backgrounds. There is no right or wrong way to be a CCMFL student. We strive to ensure that all students at the University of St Andrews have an inclusive student experience, and we are committed to helping them navigate their way through their entire time at the university.

Our Facebook and Instagram pages have updates of our events and useful guides on navigating St Andrews as a CCMFL student. We also have a Teams channel which often provides updates for commuter students, and a WhatsApp group for CCMFL students to get into contact with each other.
