Debating and simulation society for any student to discuss topics from Brexit to Star Wars.
The St Andrews Model United Nations Society offers any and all (not just IR!) students the opportunity to simulate and debate international diplomacy using both real and fictitious events.
Primarily, we host our own conference, SaintMUN, where we invite students from both universities nationally and internationally to debate topics in committees, such as the United Nations Olympic Committee, to crisis cabinet simulations of Alexander the Great and his Balkan Campaigns. We also encourage students to participate in our monthly debates where we discuss topics such as Brexit and even Star Wars.
With some experience or none, come join an interesting, enthusiastic, and fun group of students who are willing to have hearty debates about honestly any topic.
We are here solely for students of the University of St Andrews. We exist to make the student experience as strong as it can be, to provide services for students, and to represent student views to the University and beyond. We are a charity registered in Scotland and we are mostly volunteers, from members of the SRC and SSC to Ents Crew, all the society committee members to the Trustees of our Board.
