Taiwan

Founded in 2025, the St Andrews Taiwan Society (STATWS) is dedicated to promoting the vibrant culture of Taiwan and supporting Taiwanese students at the University of St Andrews.

Our mission is to support and connect Taiwanese students within the university, as well as those who have previously studied in Taiwan or wish to study there in the future.

We are also passionate about sharing the spirit of Taiwan with the wider St Andrews community—especially our love for bubble tea 🧋—allowing you to experience the heart of Taiwan without having to travel halfway across the world.

To bring our community together, we host a variety of events, including food fairs, film screenings, karaoke nights and pub socials. 

As the official Taiwan Society in St Andrews, we also take pride in collaborating with other Taiwan Societies across the UK to expand our network.
