We exist to stand in solidarity with individuals and communities who have been displaced or uprooted from their homes, regardless of the circumstances—whether through conflict, persecution, or economic hardship. Our mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive platform where open dialogue can flourish, raising awareness of the challenges faced by displaced people while also exploring solutions, fostering empathy, and encouraging collective responsibility.
Since 2016, we have been affiliated with the University of St Andrews as an official student society. This connection has allowed us to engage with a diverse academic and student community, bringing global issues into meaningful local conversations. Through our work, we strive to bridge the gap between lived experiences and public understanding.
We remain committed to continuing this mission by organizing a variety of initiatives, including panel discussions, guest lectures, and interactive workshops with scholars, activists, and those directly impacted by displacement. In addition, we hold fundraising events to support grassroots organizations and humanitarian efforts, while also creating opportunities for students and community members to get involved in advocacy and volunteering.
Ultimately, our goal is to cultivate awareness, inspire action, and foster solidarity—ensuring that the struggles of displaced people are not only recognized, but met with compassion, understanding, and tangible support.
We are an opinionless society.
We are happy to collaborate with other student societies as well as local, national, and international charities and volunteering organizations.
