Meet people, do stuff.

The Philosophy Society hosts weekly talks from leading academic philosophers, as well as discussion groups and social events throughout the year.

Founded in 2002, the Philosophy Society consists of a community of people, from first year to PhD students, and even lecturers, who want to have an opportunity to engage with the discipline outside of the classroom setting.

We not only host weekly academic philosophy talks, but also provide opportunities for people with a love of philosophy to come together for discussions.

These are both formal discussion groups considering a set philosophical question, and informal gatherings at the pub!

Memberships for 2024-25 will be available in September.
