Meet people, do stuff.
Geography

Fun social and academic events that provide you with opportunities to meet other geographers.

The University of St Andrews Geography Society, informally known as GeogSoc, aims to organise a range of fun social and academic events for members throughout the year. GeogSoc events provide you with the opportunity to meet other enthusiastic geographers from first year to postgraduate years.

We hold events with staff members from the Department of Geography and Sustainable Development, as it gives everyone a chance to get to know each other outside of lectures and tutorials. So, if you are studying Geography (human or physical) or just want to meet some new people, all are welcome!

We host a variety of events throughout the year, including pub crawls, quizzes, beach BBQs, cheese and wine nights, coffee mornings, and much more! The year culminates in our annual GloBall, which involves a ceilidh and good times.

We hope to see you all soon, and if you want to keep updated on GeogSoc news - follow us on our social media!
