Now in its third year, the Scottish A Cappella Championship brings together university groups from around Scotland to compete for the winning title as well as a £1000 prize.

This year, nine groups will be performing: six groups from St Andrews; two from the University of Aberdeen; and, a new addition this year, a group from the University of Edinburgh. Our judges for 2016 are Bede Williams, teaching fellow at the University of St Andrews and professional conductor and musician; Joanne Evans, member of the cast of the new a cappella musical Gobsmacked; and Andrew Panton, artistic director of the Royal Scottish Conservatoire and judge on the recent BBC2 programme, The Naked Choir. This event promises to be an amazing night of a cappella music and entertainment and a chance to see groups from outside the university perform!
