My name is Siobhan and I'm a fourth year, single-honours Social Anthropology student. Prior to becoming School President, I served as Class Representative for three years. I’m committed to enhancing my peers’ university experience and fostering an inclusive and constructive environment for learning. I aim to do so through various projects such as:
- “Welcome to Honours” event and Honours skills workshops to increase support for students transitioning from sub-honours to honours and address common concerns such as assessments and dissertations
- Alumni LinkedIn network for students to connect with former students and explore career options and internships
- Postgraduate research panel discussing PhD theses to showcase research being conducted in the department
- Standardised marking criteria across the Department which applies to different styles of assessments
I look forward to working with the Department and my fellow School Presidents to achieve these goals. Please do not hesitate to reach out via email ([email protected]) if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. For further department information, check out st-andrews.ac.uk/social-anthropology. I look forward to working with you this year!
