The Big Band of the University of St Andrews – better known as Big BUStA - is a 20-piece jazz orchestra that enjoys playing an eclectic range of music, from classic big band swing to funk, Afrobeat and Latin jazz. The band are eager to share their most recent repertoire; an exciting selection of contemporary jazz, including music from the Jacob Mann Big Band and Dougie MacLean.
The University of St Andrews Wind Band, St Andrews’ largest wind ensemble and un-auditioned group, invites you to join us for an evening of music of varying repertoire under the guide of our student conductors. We will be playing classical wind band selections such as “Anthem for Winds and Percussion” by Claude T Smith as well as more modern arrangements of popular film scores such as “Jurassic Park” by John Williams.
