GP Soc at St. Andrews is a society that aims to promote the importance of general practice within the medical community!
The MacKenzie General Practice Society aims to promote the importance of general practice amongst the students, staff and community members of St. Andrews. Often glossed over, family medicine and general practice are the cornerstones to a functioning medical system, and are full of exciting opportunities for clinical practice and academic pursuits!
Our society holds regular events, socials, lectures and even gets to visit other GP socities with the RCGP across the UK. It's a great way to meet other medical students, learn and share thoughts about issues surrounding community health and medical access. If that still doesn't interest you, come check out one of our GPizza nights, where we sit back, rela, enjoy some quality medical TV and eat our exam stress away in Dominoes!
We are here solely for students of the University of St Andrews. We exist to make the student experience as strong as it can be, to provide services for students, and to represent student views to the University and beyond. We are a charity registered in Scotland and we are mostly volunteers, from members of the SRC and SSC to Ents Crew, all the society committee members to the Trustees of our Board.
