The Czech and Slovak society aims to connect people and organize fun events to promote our culture.
Come and experience our slavic hospitality!
Have you ever heard of 'halušky', 'guláš' or 'kapor a zemiakový šalát'?
The Czech and Slovak society invites you to discover these two separate, yet very alike countries through our cuisine, traditions, languages and much more. We organize fun events (lots of food and laughter included) for our fellow Czechs and Slovaks as well as for anyone interested in our culture.
All are welcome! We do our best to bring you diverse events every week: pub socials with our "favourite" Kozel beer; cooking events where we introduce traditional dishes; movie nights showing our Czechoslovak cinematography; and cultural events such as our popular Christmas dinner and Easter lunch.
Becoming a member is easy, just join us at the Fresher's Fayre or any other event we organize and get your membership for just 4 pounds. This will guarantee you free entry to most of our events and a discounted price for our cooking events!
Tešíme sa na Vás!
We are here solely for students of the University of St Andrews. We exist to make the student experience as strong as it can be, to provide services for students, and to represent student views to the University and beyond. We are a charity registered in Scotland and we are mostly volunteers, from members of the SRC and SSC to Ents Crew, all the society committee members to the Trustees of our Board.
