Swing Dance St Andrews offers weekly dance classes and also puts on dancing events and showcases, often in conjunction with other societies and halls. We also take trips to other cities in Scotland for swing dance events such as socials and workshops.
Classes are taught by our own experienced members and teachers visiting from Edinburgh, but the atmosphere is very relaxed. Swing dance itself is informal and fun, so don’t worry if you have two left feet! Swing dance is a very social dance and partners are rotated throughout the class. You do not need a partner to attend, and while classes do build on the previous ones, they cater for beginners, so please feel free to attend even if you've missed previous classes. No special clothing is required, but the dancing can become quite energetic at times, so wear something comfortable which you won't overheat in!
