"Oxfam is a vibrant global movement of dedicated people fighting poverty. From saving lives and developing projects that put poor people in charge of their lives and livelihoods, to campaigning for change that lasts."
Oxfam Society is a small but thriving society which aims to run events that raise funds and awareness for Oxfam's campaigns that support people around the world. We share Oxfam's ethos and the movement to fight poverty is at the core of what we, as a society, do. We run small events such as bake sales and pub quizzes throughout the year as well as bigger events such as campaign training by Oxfam Scotland and our annual Oxjam music event which showcases local talent.
We would love for you to get involved! Like our Facebook page or email us to be added to our mailing list.
We are here solely for The University of St Andrews students. We
are here to make the student experience as strong as it can be,
provide services you need and to represent your views to the
University and beyond. We are a charity registered in Scotland and
we are mostly volunteers, from the members of the SRC and SSC to
the Ents Crew who run Union events, all the society committee
members to the Trustees of our Board.
