Whether you are interested in going abroad, or have arrived in St Andrews for the first time - the At Home and Abroad Society is here for you!
As a study abroad society, we provide support for all students who love the international community! Whether you have arrived in St Andrews from abroad, or want to get away!
Who are we? Our committee is made up of students who have all spent either a semester or full-year abroad during their time at St Andrews. We have been all over the world to study, work and teach English through the British Council. We strongly believe in the benefits of going abroad and want to share our positive experiences with you!
If you want to go away... We run a number of events throughout the Semester to help you decide if (and where!) you want to go abroad. These include drop-in sessions where you can come and have a chat to our committee about their experiences.
If you are new to St Andrews... Each semester we run trips and events to help you get settled in, including socials and information sessions! We organise a pub quiz at the start of each semester to help you to get to know others in the international community. We also like to run trips to help you see a bit more of the area. In the past we have been to Falkland Palace, the Isle of May, the Edinburgh Christmas Markets, Anstruther... to name only a few! Keep an eye on our FaceBook page to keep up to date with what we do!
If you have any questions or problems, we are here to help you in any way that we can - just send us an email, or message us on FaceBook!
