Winner of the coveted ‘Best Bar None – Silver Award’ (the only silver award given in St Andrews) and the ‘Tennent’s Perfect Pint Award (the only Students’ Union to have one!) Home to the Union’s Music Quiz (every Thursday at 8pm) along with numerous other events, it’s quite simply the best place in St Andrews to go for a drink.

During the day, the Main Bar is open to all students as a comfortable place to chat, work, meet friends, and generally just relax. If you’re feeling hungry, you can even grab a bite to eat from the Union Café – why go anywhere else?

Please note that under the 'Challenge 25' policy, your matriculation card may not be accepted as sufficient proof of age for purchasing alcohol at the bar. You may be asked for a photographic driving license, passport or PASS card instead.
