RAIL TRAVEL

How to spend less on Rail Travel. Buy a RAILCARD!! Save 1/3rd on most rail fares and you'll have more to spend on the important things in life. Do you qualify? You do if you are a matriculated student or age 16 to 25 years.
At just £20 a year, a Student RAILCARD can pay for itself in just one or two trips. On just one ticket costing £89.50, for example, you could save £59.05, which more than pays for your rail card. Then you continue to make savings every time you use it!
We also sell all other rail cards here in the travel office.
If you are over 60 you qualify for a senior railcard at only £20 for the year. This will entitle you to a 1/3 off all your rail tickets.
 
Travelling with a family, remember the  family railcard only £20 for the year
Travel by Rail, by road or by sea. You will find you can save a third on most ticket types all over Britain including the popular Cheap Day Returns, Saver and Supersaver fares. You can also use a Young Persons Rail Card to buy through tickets on many bus and ship links.
Advice and information: You'll find that it's worth booking your ticket for longer distance journeys in advance, as this can help save even more money. Remember, if you need help making the right decision about your journey, just call student telesales on 01334 462345 or email travel@st-andrews.ac.uk  We will give you timetable advice, try to get the best fare for you wherever you are going, issue your tickets and always make seat reservations for you at no additional charge. Just call in with a photo and proof of your age or student status (your matric card or ISIC card is fine) and we will issue your Student Railcard on the spot.
