STAFF WANTED: VACANCIES 2010-11
Returning next year? Looking to get your finances sorted? We are looking for people to fill a variety of part-time roles for us, working in the Union building next academic year. Benefits include full training and development of key transferable skills; flexible work schedules; and the chance to meet and work with fellow students from all across the University!
Contracts will run for the academic year during term time and pay rates run from £5.80 to £6.98 per hour. Employment will begin with induction in mid-September, with Fresher's Week starting on the 18th.
Housekeeping staff
We are looking for weekday and weekend housekeeping staff to help prepare the building for opening each day. This post requires morning work only, normally from 7-9 am or 8-10 am. No previous experience is required, as training will be given, but flexibility, reliability and a conscientious approach are vital.
Hours: as above.
Wage: £6.98 per hour plus holiday pay
To maintain the safety of our members and assist with customer service, we require staff with previous security experience for evening work at the Union building. SIA training and badge are essential, and experience is preferred. A positive attitude, strong customer focus and outgoing personality are also required.

Working in our three bars in the main Union building and at a variety of venues for external events, we are seeking outgoing, enthusiastic bar staff to provide excellent service to our members. Experience in a customer service role is preferred, and experience of bar work is advantageous, but neither is essential. Full training on alcohol service will be given to comply with current licensing laws in Scotland.
Hours: flexible and variable
Wage: £5.80 per hour plus holiday pay
