7th April 2012 7:16 pm

Honorary Life Membership & John Honey Award Nominations

At the end of each academic year, the Students' Association grants Honorary Life Membership to a small number of graduating students, in recognition of their efforts and dedication to enhancing student life in St Andrews.

Recipients of Honorary Life Memberships will be invited to a champagne reception and ceremony ; they will also receive an Honorary Life Membership Card which entitles them to enter the Association freely after graduation.

Nominations are now open for HLMs; forms are available here, and you can email completed forms to union@

Nominations are also open for the John Honey award. The John Honey Award, named for the student who risked his life to save sailors in a shipwreck near St Andrews, is given to a student who has given extraordinary service to his/her fellow students in the area of welfare.

Please include a description of the activities of your nominee, and why you feel they should receive an HLM, as well as your contact details.
