Event Description

Freshers Week Passes and Starfields tickets are on sale now!

Freshers Week Pass

A Freshers’ Week Pass will guarantee you entry to the 9 Headline Venue 1 events as well as saving you a combined £15 off regular ticket prices. The Freshers Week Pass is exclusively available online.

Tickets are extremely limited so we recommend that you buy as soon as possible! A Freshers Week Pass does not include the Venue 1 Ceilidh or Starfields.

At the start of Freshers' Week, you can collect your Freshers Pass (an envelope of paper tickets) from our box office. To then exchange the paper tickets, on the day of the event just pop into the Union to exchange it for a band. Only a band can get you into the event.

If you do not collect your band by 10pm, or by 5pm on Monday's comedy or Sunday's Acapella concerts, then your ticket will be liable for resale. You are guaranteed a ticket to all events, up to those times specified. The same applies for any individual tickets bought in advance.

Starfields

FS is delighted to announce the return of STARFIELDS Music Festival for the first time since 2009. It’s set to be a fantastic way to top off your Freshers week. The night is held In a marquee on Strathtyrum Estate - 2000 guests and great music for £30.

The Act Lineup will be announced over the next two weeks at www.starfields.standrewsfashion.co.uk

Unfortunately due to strict licensing laws, Starfields is only open to those 18 years and older.

Venue 1 - Individual Tickets

Online tickets to our headline Venue 1 acts will go on sale from next week. You will also be able to purchase individual tickets at our Union Box Office during the week. However, please bear in mind that many of our events have been known to sell out online in the past!  Tickets for the ceilidh will be available for purchase from our box office.

If you buy a ticket in advance, you will be given a paper ticket. On the day of the event, you need to pop into the Union to exchange it for a band. If you do not collect your band by 10pm, or by 5pm on Monday's comedy or Sunday's Acapella concerts, then your ticket will be liable for resale. You are guaranteed a ticket to all events, up to those times specified. The same applies for any Freshers Passes.

Venue 2 Tickets

The events in Venue 2 are run by societies and student groups. They do not sell tickets online in advance, and do not form part of the Freshers' Pass. Tickets are available on the door, and some are free. Their website entries clarify their cost.

Under 18?

If you're a Scottish student joining us before their 18th birthday, then the Freshers' Week lineup (excluding Starfields) is open to you. You are welcome to buy ticket and enjoy the events.

The Union is special in allowing underage guests into the building - as Starfields is offsite, unfortunately, under-18s cannot buy a ticket or attend the event. Despite being about the Union, drinking under the age of 18 is illegal in Scotland. It can result a ban from the building whether you purchase alcohol or consume alcohol someone else has bought for you; or any free alcohol available at society events. Don't risk it, and enjoy the night on soft drinks!
