association chair

To help all of the volunteers involved with representation, societies and services, the Association Chair facilitates the weekly meetings of the Students' Representative Council (SRC) and Student Services Committee (SSC).

The Chair helps to keep meetings short, productive and well organised, to encourage healthy debate and guide the groups towards reaching constructive decisions, and to encourage new members or those not used to public speaking to make their voices heard and learn about the processes and practices behind the operations of the SRC and SSC.

The Chair is also completely impartial, and is in an excellent position to learn about all the activities the Students' Association has to offer; they are also a member of the Students' Association Board which is the main governing body of the Students' Association and makes decisions on anything from financial strategy, to redevelopment.

This position is up for election on 18.03.2011.
