The benefits volunteering brings to the community are numerous! Whether it is teaching kids how toplant, doing arts and crafts with disabled adults, or providing emotional support to victims of crime, the volunteer's role is simply important to the welfare of the community.
The St Andrews Voluntary Service (SVS) exists to create and co-ordinate volunteering opportunities for all students. Volunteer areas include working with youth, youth with special needs, adults with special needs, elderly, environment and animal welfare. As SSC Volunteering Officer you will lead the SVS committee to maintain and expand these opportunities.
If you think you're up to the challenge, put yourself forward for election on 16.03.2012
