Speakers
The Union Debating Society is proud to announce several great ways to make a difference in the Society. We are always excited to hear fresh outside speakers and are eager to bring together the opinions of our students and real-world experience. As such, we always try to find outside speakers for every debate, and are always on the lookout for someone new. Outside speakers can also refer to our Guide to Speaking in Lower Parliament Hall.
To speak in a debate in Lower Parliament Hall, please contact the Convenor, Miss Rachael Whitbread
Sponsors make up a large part of the funds we use to send teams to prestigious International competitions such as the World and European Championships.
We rely on these events to provide experience to our speakers and judges without which our internal and schools training would suffer, our competitions would not be as well judges and the quality of LPH speaking would suffer.

Events
Want to host an event for the Union Debating Society? Society events range from formal dinners, pub nights, and picnics to specialised debates such as the Balaka Competition .
