Tibet
The Tibet Society aims to highlight the human rights situation in Tibet and raise awareness about the plight of Tibetan people, both inside Tibet and in exile. We also hope to offer an insight into the fascinating culture and history of Tibet and Tibetan Buddhism.
As a society, we have been active in
- inviting guest speakers to talk on aspects of Tibetan history, religion and politics.
- showing documentaries and films related to Tibet.
- raising funds to support educational and welfare projects inside Tibet and in exile communities.
