► STAND
STAND
St Andrews is the first UK chapter of the international Student Anti-Genocide Coalition. Formerly known as Students Take Action Now: Darfur, the organization was first started to raise awareness and funds to combat the atrocities taking place in Western Sudan. Attention is now needed in neighbouring areas as well. Only established at the end of last year, STAND has already two events and raised a significant amount. In the 2007-2008 year, we plan on holding many more. Join STAND to battle international genocide in the largest student group since the Vietnam War.
