Literary
The Literary Society is a fastly growing society that uses a love of literature as the focal point for a multitude of events. Previous events have included a treasure island themed pub crawl and a fancy dress Hallow E’en party. We like to mix serious events alongside more fun happenings, so we often have talks given to us by various members of the different acedemic schools, recent talks have been given by members of the Spanish, Russian and Theology departments. Whenever possible the society also tries its best to organise theatre trips to Edinburgh to catch the latest plays at the Lyceum Theatre. The literary society is a fun and slightly deranged society that is not just for English students and new members will immediately feel at home.
