The James Crichton Society aims to promote academic discourse among the students of the University of St Andrews; through the publication of our monthly journal, seminars, lectures and debates, we hope to encourage and foster an intellectual climate outside the realm of conventional studies in the liberal arts and sciences. Beginning this year, the James Crichton Society will provide an outlet for students with a passion for their subject and for those who wish to engage with other students in an academic culture.
