1.0     Convenor’s Welcome

Dave says hi and welcomes everyone to the last meeting of the year!! Everyone is sad. But yay Lindsay has made cake for everyone! This makes everyone happy again! Dave starts off by letting Alex give an update on Run with Rory. Alex says that it is happening on Sunday the 27th. He hopes to prove that there will be good attendance for the race so that the local police will be more likely to close roads thus letting everyone run along the scores and the beach like last year. To do this he is hoping everyone will turn up to register from 2-5 in the TV room this Wednesday. He asks everyone to tell their friends so we get as many people as possible! If you raise £50 sponsorship money then you will get your entry fee back. He says there is the option of doing 5K, 10K or a relay race. He hopes that the route can finish up at the Gateway building. He asks Dave to have a quick chat about a few things after the meeting.

2.0  Exec Committee Updates

2.1  Karlie- Events Coordinator

Karlie expresses her despair because the balloon race is not allowed to go ahead! The Council feel it will litter and possibly harm animals. Karlie is obviously disappointed. But, not one to back down, instead, on Saturday she is organising tea, coffee and cakes for the Rugby Sevens. We made lots of money at the last bake sale, about £140, so she asks for everyone to do lots of baking again and she reckons we can make triple that! She passes around a list so people can sign up to help out on the day at the Sports Union building from 10-2 in the afternoon. She also adds that everyone will be able to watch the rugby! Karlie will be at the Union from 3-5 on Friday so people can bring along their baked goods then to drop off. Karlie also passes around a Pizza Express menu so that everyone can fill out meal choices before the AGM next week.

2.2  Sarah- Collections Co-ordinator

Sarah is hoping to do a small collection at the Rugby Sevens on Saturday- because she is only £58 pounds away from raising £6,000 in total this year! So she hopes everyone can help out with reaching her target.

2.3 Clare- Treasurer

Claire asks everyone to give her any left over receipts asap! Or the money will be given away in the next week to charity. She has the totals for so far this year: 6 noms: £39,066.80 and in total: £54,560.81! A big round of applause. Dave nearly forgets but someone reminds him by saying that the Jumble Sale was a big success raising £176.25! Dave says well done to all of the people who helped out with that and Dave is especially pleased that all of the cloakroom stuff has now finally gone!

3.0  AGM information and Meeting Closed

Before he finishes, Dave wants to go through all of the information concerning the AGM. He wants everyone to be there at 6.29 pm sharp because we only have the room for so long and it could go on for a while! But he hopes it won’t take more than two hours. It will be in Venue 2 and he is encouraging everyone to wear black tie and red gowns. He says that the AGM format, a list of committee positions and descriptions, and a booklet of the charities all up for nomination will all be sent out this Wednesday via email so that everyone can think about the charities they will vote for and the first years can get an idea of what the AGM will be like. He reminds everyone that the deadline for Exec nominations is 5pm tomorrow. He asks to speak to anyone after the meeting who is going for RAG Week Co-ordinator so he can organise a time to interview them on Wednesday. He asks everyone to bring their friends to the AGM, and although there will be a lot to get through on the night, he hopes that the evening will still be enjoyable, especially with the meal out afterwards. That is about it for this last meeting! With no further questions and no other issues to be discussed, Dave closes the meeting.
