2.0             Exec Committee Updates

2.1                  Katie- RAG Week Co-ordinator

Katie asks everyone to bring their RAG Week polo shirt money to next week’s meeting or there will be trouble! She says that all of the loose ends from RAG Week have been tied up and hopefully once all of the money is in the week will have raised close to £12,000!

2.2                  Tom- Hitchhike Coordinator

Tom feels he doesn’t have much to say really! He says that the Race has now raised close to £19,000 with money coming in all the time! He hopes the total will be £20,000 in the end.

2.3                  Karlie- Events Co-ordinator

Karlie says she has three things to talk about this week. Firstly, there will be a meeting to organise the jumble sale this Wednesday at 5pm in the Union bar. Secondly, it is the Charities Social next Tuesday evening. Karlie says that it is fancy dress and there will be a prize for the best dressed. She is planning some kind of drinking game to do and she says it will be brilliant so do come! Thirdly, our last event of the year will be a balloon race! There will be prizes for the first one found, the strangest place one is found and the furthest distance travelled. Last time the campaign did this one balloon was found in Denmark! It is planned for Saturday 19th April.

2.4                  Sarah- Collections Co-ordinator

Sarah starts by saying to thank you to everyone who came to the collection in Edinburgh on Saturday. Everyone collected £409,94 which is really good going! This brings the collection total to £4,712,26 and Sarah hopes that by the end of the semester we will have made £5,000! There is also a new leader board with Dave in first place, Andrew in second and Katie in third. Unfortunately there is no collection in Dundee this Saturday so the next one will be in Aberdeen on Saturday 5th for Barnardo’s. It will be after a football game and lunch is planned for beforehand. A minibus has been booked for the day. Dave adds that it is great to see lots of new people at collections.

2.5                  Clare- Treasurer

Clare would like any money owed for polo shirts, hoodies and bus tickets- same old, same old!

3.0 Other Committee Members

3.1 Alex G- Fun Run Coordinator

Alex says that he has planned a route that he hopes the Police will agree to. He says that he has lots of paperwork for the Union to look over and then all of the decisions are up to the Council. Dave says that all of those points can be discussed further at the Run with Rory organising meeting.

3.0            Meeting Closed

Dave finishes by talking about the upcoming AGM. He reminds everyone that it is happening on the 21st of April. A vote is held and the outcome is that the dress code is gowns and black tie! Dave also mentions the Union elections this week with applications being taken up till Friday afternoon. He asks for everyone to vote for good people! Dave says that there is lots to look forward to over the next few weeks but asks before he finishes if anyone else has anything to bring up? No-one does so he closes the meeting.
