Committee Meeting Minutes

1.0 Convenor’s Welcome
Dave welcomes everyone to the last meeting of the semester. He passes around party poppers for everyone to set off intermittently throughout the meeting. The question for this week is ‘What are you doing for New Year’s Eve?’ Dave then proceeds to read off a list of all of the things that have gone on this semester- it is a long list! Karlie then gives Dave a massive Christmas card from all of the committee, it has lots of photos on it from this semester and is signed by all of the Exec. Dave is very pleased with it and thanks everybody!
2.0 Exec Committee Updates
2.1 Karlie- Events coordinator
Karlie says thanks to everyone who came to our Christmas meal last week. She says that the next events to look out for will be during Ragweek but there is also the bungee jump planned for April next year.
2.2 Katie- Ragweek coordinator
Katie unfortunately can’t make the meeting but Dave says that there will be no Ragweek meeting for this week. He briefly talks to Ceri about getting the Ragweek ‘taster’ posters around town before the end of term and she says she will get on to her helpers via facebook.
2.3 Tom Hobbs- Hitchhike Convenor
Tom has little to say this week, all he needs to do is to ask Mhairi if she is on the VIP list for the Race and she says yes so that is all from him.
2.4 Sarah- Collections Co-ordinator
Dave says that he likes Sarah’s new haircut and all of the committee agree. Sarah talks about the upcoming collections for next semester, there will be some during Ragweek in St Andrews and there is one planned for the 1st of March in
2.5 Jade –Secretary
I have little to say, as always! I do say that anyone still wanting a hoodie should let me know so that I can order them asap.
2.6 Clare- Treasurer
Clare is excited to give us our totals for this semester. Drum roll and lots of party poppers ensue! In total we have raised £15,131,92! And for six noms we have raised £4,892,49! Out of events, cloakroom and collections, collections raised the most this semester raising £3428, 80! Everyone applauds the great totals. Claire also reminds everyone of the usual- receipts and bus tickets.
3.0 Other Committee Members
3.1 Pippa- Halls Rep
Pippa says that she has recently had meeting with all of the hall representatives to find out how their fundraising is going and what has been going on. She says to Dave that she is working on contacting the halls about Ragweek events. Pippa says she has now created a facebook group.
