1.0 Convenor’s Welcome

Dave welcomes everybody. There will be no question this week because St Andrews is taking part in University Challenge at 8 and Dave wants to catch it! Dave says thank you to Alison from the Ents crew for coming along to the meeting. Also Dave reminds everyone to have a look at the website because he thinks it is quite good!

Exec Committee Updates

2.1             Karlie- Events Coordinator

Karlie asks anyone interested in coming to the Charities Xmas meal to put their name down so she knows numbers for booking purposes. She says that we are planning to hold a bake sale outside the library on Monday 3rd December but she will remind everyone about it at a later date. Also in a few weeks time we will be helping out with the Corona beach bop, but again Karlie will let people know more nearer the time.

2.2             Katie- Ragweek Coordinator

Katie says that plans for Ragweek are going well. The meeting for this week is taking place on Friday at 2.30 pm in the main bar of the Union. Katie also says that if anyone wants a Ragweek hoodie they should put their name down on the list which is being passed around.

2.3             Tom- Hitchhike Convenor

Tom starts by saying that Jailbreak was a great success! Everyone applauds all those who took part. Tom says that one group managed to get to Lanzarote for one pound! And most importantly nobody died! For the Race to Amsterdam, Tom says that this Wednesday1pm at the Union they will be taking entry fees and he asks everyone to bring a boy! There will also be a social in Drouthys at 7.30 pm on Friday to collect consent forms, to get more info or to find a boy!

2.4             Sarah-Collections Co-ordinator

Sarah says that the small Children In Need collection held in St Andrews today went well. We collected £135.04 so thank you to everyone who spared an hour in the rain. The only collection coming up at the moment is the pub golf collection for Africa Now which will take place after the Rag Conference in a few weeks.

2.5             Clare- Treasurer

Clare says that unfortunately we don’t have an accurate total yet. But she reminds everyone to bring hoodie money and also any receipts to be claimed to the next meeting.

2.6             Jade- Secretary

I say that hopefully hoodies will arrive in the next two weeks. I also say that next Monday Luke from Africa Now will be coming to speak about his internship experience. Hopefully everyone will be over their Raisen weekend hangover by then!

3.0             Other Committee Members

3.1             Katherine- Cloakroom Coordinator

Katheryn says cloakrooms are going well. Dave explains to everyone that we are looking for 8 volunteers for the Xmas ball cloakroom in a few weeks. You get a free ticket if you do it so that should be a good incentive! Dave tells anyone interested to see Kathryn after the meeting.

3.2              Alex- Fun-Run Coordinator

Alex says he is making good progress with organising the Fun Run. He has seen Fife Council and has been given an events starter pack that he needs to read through. He is also trying to get in touch with the Links Trust to see if the route could be around some of the golf courses. He is still finalising a date but probably the run will take place on the last Sunday in April. As an aside he asks if anyone still needs a marathon form from him.

4.0             AOCB -

4.1 Elizabeth- Elizabeth, who is organising the Ragweek fashion show this year says that next Monday from 5-7 in the TV room she will be holding a meeting for models and designers.

5.0             Meeting Closed

Before the closes the meeting Dave adds a few points. He speaks about The Calender 2008 being organised by Oli Walker for charity (with 4 of the 10 pounds going to our charity Breast Cancer Campaign) and he hopes that there will be a few pictures of us in there! Dave finally reminds everyone that new ideas for events are always welcome. He closes the meeting then rushes off to watch University Challenge.
