 3General Meeting Minutes 03.11.08

1.0   Convener’s welcome

Will asks everyone the question ‘what are they doing for reading week?’ He then thanks everyone who helped at James Bond, the Pumpkin stall and the election of Kevin Dunion. He explains that Craig will be announcing the totals thus far later in the meeting, but says thank you to everyone, as we have raised a fair bit of money.

1.1   Becca – secretary

He then gives the pre-reading week totals:  £5,368.18 – collections; £ 3,245.57 – events; £15,292.13 in total – approx. £3,500 more than this time last year!

You get dropped off at Aberdeen and have to go to 3 capital cities before heading to Berlin. It is going to be a challenge for those who have hitched before. Therefore, there are going to be 338 St Andrews students in Berlin for charity, which is amazing since there were only 214 last year! She thinks that we might make £15,500 if we raise the minimum sponsorship from the race! She also then asks if anyone wants to head the safety team in England.  She asks that if they do can they see her afterwards.
