1.0 Convenor’s Welcome
Dave greets everyone present and says that it is the last meeting of the year! He asks the question of the week which is ‘What has been your funniest this moment this year?’ Many funny and even odd answers are given! Dave says how he would like all of the committee to attend a photo shoot for the Rag Mag at 3pm on Sunday 6th May at the Cathedral. He asks everyone to wear their charities hoodies. On that note, he says that if there is anyone who would like to order a new hoodie please may they fill out a form and preferably get the money to him tonight. He thanks everyone for submitting their Rag Mag blurbs, and asks if anyone has any good photos that they have taken of this year at events etc. If so he would like them to put in the Rag Mag.
2.0 Exec Committee Updates
2.1 Karlie- Events Coordinator
Karlie says thank you to everyone who gave in their sponsorship money, she gives out medals to the people who won the races and also to the person who raised the most money through sponsorship- 180 pounds! She says that she will be in touch soon to remind people about the remaining sponsorship money to be collected. She then goes on to talk about the event Summer Spice and says she will be contacting the volunteers soon about shift times, but on the night they will be selling bop bands, ice pops and sweeties.
2.2 Sarah- Collections Coordinator
Sarah says that she is making progress with sorting out collection dates for next year. This Saturday 5th May there will be a collection with Diabetes UK and if anyone wants to help for a few hours in the afternoon she asks them to put down their names on the list.
2.3 Tom- Hitchhike Coordinator
Tom says that the first Race meeting will be on Monday the 7th of May at 6.30 in the TV Room in the Union and they will be deciding the location of the Race and other informal preliminary matters. He encourages anyone who is interested to attend.
2.4 Clare- Treasurer
Clare reads out a list of names of people who have expenses money waiting for them in the cash office to collect.
3.0 Other Committee Members
3.1 Ben and Ceri- Publicity and Design officers
Dave says well done to Ben and Ceri for the designing of the posters and the fast distribution of them for the Summer Spice event. He reminds Ben that they need to sort out the art work for the Rag Mag.
3.2 Kat- Liason Officer
Dave asks Kat to get in touch with Star Fm who are holding a charity end of year party, and also to contact Azibo who are holding a walk for charity to make sure that all the money will be going through the campaign properly.
3.3 Pippa- Halls Rep
Dave asks Pippa to go to Uni Hall to see if they have an inflatable palm tree that we could use for Summer Spice as decoration!
3.4 Jenny-Old Cloakrooms Coordinator
Dave speaks to Jenny about a Help the Aged raid/event they are holding in London which includes talks, collecting and freebies! It happens at the end of June and while many cannot make it, Dave asks anyone who is interested to give him their details and he will email them the information on it. Dave is up for it and thinks it could be a laugh!
4.0 Meeting Closes
Dave closes the meeting with a few final comments. He says that he will be changing the constitution soon and offers for people to see his amendments if they want to. He also reminds people of a position that will be open at the EGM in October and that is the position of Rag Week Officer who will be helping out Katie to run Rag Week. He encourages everyone to take home a Summer Spice poster and to put it up where they live. With no more business to discuss, Dave says how he will see everyone Thursday night for Summer Spice.
